Mike’s latest 12-song CD “War and Resistance” is dedicated to Rachel Corrie and all who have stood against violence and oppression. The music ranges in style from alternative folk, to blues rock, and rock. Backed by a veteran cast of musicians, Mike pays tribute to the glory days of Homestead, Pa. with a blue grass tune and to the courage of peace activist Rachel Corrie with a moving folk ballad. In the blues rock songs “Big Time Corporation Blues” and “Big Brother’s Watching” Mike warns about the corporations like Enron that steal our savings and the forces that invade of our privacy. “Just A Pawn In their Game” is a call to support the thousands brave Gulf War veterans who are suffering ill health from the effects of depleted Uranium used in armor piercing shells. The rock songs “Stop the Wars”, “There Are No Real Winners in War”, and “Superpower” talk about the devastation of war. He calls upon people to work together in peace to overcome our differences in his folk songs “People to People” and “Sweet Paradise” and “There Will Always Be (You and Me)
