Residents Urge Death Penalty Moratorium

On Thursday, March 4th, a rally was held outside of the Pittsburgh State
Office Building to express dissatisfaction with the death penalty.
Activists from Pittsburgh Abolitionists United Against the Death Penalty
and other organizations gathered to send the message to Governor Rendell
that they will not tolerate state-sanctioned murder.
Under a light rain, the crowd held signs and chanted to onlookers while
distributing a petition calling for a moratorium on executions in
Pennsylvania.
