Landmarks include:
- Breakaway march begins shortly after 3:30pm, leaving the SEI die-in and heading south on S. Dithridge St.
- At the Marine Corps Recruiting Station on Meyran Avenue, a glass door was broken. Initial reports suggested a flag or flagpole was used; corporate news media suggested a brick or rock was thrown, no definite answer yet. Also initial reports spoke of a water balloon, possibly containing a colored liquid, being thrown at the station -- this is also unconfirmed.
- At the Starbucks Coffee Shop in Pittsburgh's ritsy Shadyside neighborhood shopping district, black bloc members jeered and threw snowballs while customers looked on behind windows.
- The unpermitted march, though followed by police on horses, motorcycles, cars, and vans, made it back to the Die-In on 5th Avenue near SEI without further incident and dispersed without arrest, after 5:00pm.
