Phipps offers George Washington Carver presentation and black history storytelling. Related programs February 2, 15, and 16.

In honor of Black History Month, Phipps Conservatory today featured a presentation on George Washington Carvers botanical accomplishments and a Black History Storytelling. The storytelling was presented by a man and woman in costume and included use of musical instruments, which at least one child from the audience was permitted to play with. A presentation on houseplants of African origin will take place tomorrow (02/02/2003) at noon, and more African-themed presentations will take place February 15th and 16th. A complete schedule of Phipps Demonstrations and Public Programs can be found at http://www.phipps.conservatory.org/learn/education/demonstrations/index.html
