On Saturday, September 20, 2003 the new $375 million+ D.L. Lawrence Convention Center will host its own grand re-opening with "POWER UP PITTSBURGH" At this $500/ticket affair all of our "VISIONARIES" will be honored in an event that the big shots are calling a "POWER PLAY." All those who have helped to create our ongoing public transit funding nightmare, not to mention the city fiscal nightmare and the cuts in state and local services will be there. Guests of honor include our Governor and past governors Ridge and Schweiker. Many state and local law makers are also going to be there, as well as the local rich "the old guard, the new guard, the avant guard" for whom the local politicians work.
