Volunteering and donations info, plus a call for food for the Convergence Weekend.

The rundown:

So the decision was made to start cooking at St. Regis Church, located at 3235 Parkview Drive in South Oakland at 3:00 Friday afternoon, to be able to serve food at the concert located in the William Pitt Union at 7:00ish. So we'll need volunteers @ St. Regis then, and at 10pm to help clean up.

On Saturday, we're going to start cooking at 11:00 am, to serve food at 2:30 in the Hooters (hehe) parking lot in Station Square, before the march. We will need volunteers then, and after the march back at St. Regis to help clean up again.

On Sunday, we'll need volunteers to cook at 10:00 to serve food outside of the William Pitt Union at 1:00, and then volunteers back at St. Regis following the march to help clean up after. Also, Woody is going to go down to serve the small regular Sunday venue @ market Square, and could use a ride, i think.

So if you weren't at the meeting and are still intrested in helping out, don't be shy!!! Just show up!!!

Donations will start being taken at the St. Regis church after 12:00 on Friday, and continue throughout the weekend.

We are still pooling resources to get food, and:

A volunteer is buying 1 gallon of oil, 80 lbs of rice, 5 gallons of tofu, beans and garlic. Someone else is hoping to get (biodegradeable if possible) sanitizing solution, and another is getting 3 buckets, so people can rinse and sanitize their things. Some people are hitting up prospects in the Strip, and the Italian market in Oakland. Kiva Han can only vend coffee, no free giveaways from him. So basically we need a beverage resource. And more food!!!!!!

We need silverware/bowls/plates, etc. We reallllllllyyyy don't wanna buy disposable stuff, so hopefully people'll bring their own, and if not, we might have enough to cover.
