Accomodations

We will have a motel room available for at least 4 people (one double bed plus floor space) just off I-80 in Parsippany, NJ. - a good spot for car-travellers from points west. There are hourly trains into Penn Station (34th and 10th) nearby. We could take one rider, but we may be staying through Sunday so return transp. would be needed.

...unless the slaughter starts
by pjd Sunday, Feb. 09, 2003 at 2:11 PM

The bombing may be started by then; if that's the case, we probably won't be in much of a mood for sightseeing in NYC, so we will return promptly AM Sunday.

Of course we might all get arrested - who knows...

I wanna go, too.

Hello. Like many unfortunate souls, I have no transportation to NYC for the much-anticipated rally on the 15th. If you know how I might get a ride, please help me out; or if you are similarly stuck and would consider splitting car rental costs, I would be willing.

IUP organizers?

I'm trying to get in contact with the organizers of the bus trip from Indiana (IUP). If anyone involved sees this, or knows who is organizing it, please get in contact with me via email. I am interested in the trip, along with at least two other friends from Indiana and Pittsburgh. Thanks in advance.

i got this on the International Socialist Organization pittsburgh branch email list:

We're renting a van to drive to "The World Says No To War"
protest in New York this Saturday and may have some available
seats. The cost would be $30 per person, we'll be leaving
very early Saturday morning and returning late Saturday night.
If you are interested, email iso_pittsburgh@yahoo.com or
call 412-687-1855 and leave a message.

Right now the weather Saturday could be pretty nasty. It can snow very heavy towards the coast. I ran into such a storm going home from the crooks inauguration, travel in central MD became impossible-you couldnt even see if you were on the road!

I'd recommend starting out on friday. We still have that motel room on I-80 in NJ friday and saturday night. See my earlier message.
