Arrests!
There is a report being circulated of at least one person being arrested at Pitt today and another beaten by the police.
Please attend the protest at the Federal Building at 5pm. There is safety in numbers. We cannot let the oppression of the government take away our voice of peace!

True: There was one arrest today on the march, while we were outside the Carnegie Music Hall on Forbes Avenue (probably around 1.45pm. He was charged with disorderly conduct. We are working on finding out more details. Badge numbers and names were taken down.

hey all
when it's all made known, can someone let us know exactly what the deal is with the arrest? it was the pitt police who were making the arrest, but they took him away in a port authority police car, and i heard somewhere that there were city police involved.
if it's a pitt police case we can totally make a lot of noise at his judicial board hearing. but i dunno that it will be.

so you guys know
i found out that the guy who was arrested during student strike is being charged with disorderly conduct and aggravated assault (of a police officer). bond is going to be posted tonight. we'll get his full story soon i'm sure.
