Organize for Honest Media Ocverage

When you see biased or untruthful television coverage of protests, speak up.

KDKA TV channel 2- 412-333-5352
WTAE TV channel4 - 412-244-4444
WPXI TV channel 11- 412-237-1111
WPGH TV channel 53- 412-931-5300

If you were a witness to one of the events covered by the news, and you believe that their coverage was unfairly biased or untruthful, call the station and tell them so. Ask for the program director and file a complaint stating what you saw and why their coverage was false, inadequate, biased, or unfair. If we get enough people to voice their distress, maybe the TV News will be forced to give rallys and marches objective and honest coverage.

download PDF (40.8 kibibytes)

I'm with you 100%. I've made a quarter-page flier with these phone numbers on it, and some other hoo-haw. It's in pdf format, so anyone should be able to print and distribute. Maybe it'll be useful at future events?

Maybe

This might work if we were advertising with them.

Otherwise, I'd say it's pretty hopeless.

What we really need...

What we really need is a more extensive array of alternative/community media outlets.

KDKA

Last night KDKA TV had a story about a PAT EBA bus driver that was retiring. For the story, they interviewed some bus riders, one of which the text on the screen identified as living in 'Squirrel Hell'. I happened to be taping the news since I wanted to keep a copy of any protest coverage. I viewed the tape and it really did say that. Sq. Hell, hah!
