The Port Authority is actually ready to terminate all weekend and nightime service!

Back in March, Governor Rendell cut the funding to operate public mass transit in Pennsylvania back to the level it was at in 1994. The General Assembly promptly and without any public comment, passed this budget. Now by as early as July 1. 2003 we could have our public transit running only on weekdays till 9 PM.

What follows is a list of the local policy makers who are messing up OUR public transit:

Each of the above folks is responsible for the crisis we are in right now. They can vote to restore some of the funds that they cut, but the Gov is playing hard ball. Please take a little time and call each of these idiots and tell them that it is a good idea to have buses that run after 9 at night and on weekends too.
