Pgh 122 Community Service Question
by Confused Thursday, May. 29, 2003 at 4:18 PM

Whom do we mail our CS documentation to...

Hey,

I just finished with my 80 hours of community service and am a little confused about where to send my documentation to. If I just label it

Pittsburgh Magistrates Court
Pittsburgh Municipal Courts
660 First Avenue
Pitt, PA 15219

will it find it's way into the right hands?

Also, what about the money order for $85 to cover court costs? Should that be sent directly to the courts?

Just go there

Having dealt with the disorganized mess that is Pittsburgh beauracracy before, if it is at possible I would suggest you actually go downtown and hand deliver the documents. I would go to the city-county building on fifth ave, and if they don't process the documents there, they can tell you who will. Really, though if go in person you can get a reciept and you will be sure the right person has it.

Community Service Hours

Mike Healy, the lead attorney representing the Pgh 122, suggests that everyone send the documentation of service hours to the Thomas Merton Center and they will be sent together to the court. This will keep everyone from having to appear in court and wait and wait and wait to be processed. This will also ensure that everyone is treated fairly.

Drop them off or mail them to:

Thomas Merton Center
5125 Penn Ave.
Pittsburgh, PA 15224

Phone 412-361-3022

You can pay the fine directly to the court and make sure you keep the receipt.

Peace,

Tim
