URGENT CALL FOR ACTION TO SAVE OUR PUBLIC TRANSIT. 25 HOUR VIGIL STARTING MONDAY 23RD 11AM.

SAVE OUR TRANSIT
FAST & VIGIL FOR PUBLIC TRANSIT

Join fellow Port Authority riders as we gather for a
25 hour vigil and fast for our public transit!

WHEN: Monday June 23 at 11 AM until Tuesday June 24 at High Noon.

WHERE: State Office Building, 300 Liberty Avenue, downtown.

WHY: Because Public Transit in Pennsylvania is dying! The Governor and the State General Assembly must adequately fund our public transit operations before it is too late. We want to show the law makers how serious we are about this.

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE: Just come down to the State Office Building any time during the vigil and stay for as long as you want. Stay for an hour, a few hours or even 25 hours, its up to you. Some will drink only water for these 25 hours but you decide what you want to do. We will be doing human bill boards, getting a petition to Gov. Rendell signed, doing some drumming & singing.

We will kick off the vigil with a rally/press conference at 11am on Monday, June 23 and then finish the vigil with a raly at High Noon on Tuesday, June 24. If you can only come down for an hour or so those would be really good times!
