A MARKET PLACE OF IDEAS

Pittsburgh's first political/social justice festival

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Friday, July 25th is Pittsburgh's First Annual "Marketplace of Ideas"! Come for the discussion, street theater, or the literature. Come to talk to greens, labor, socialists, and anarchists.
Come for slushies made by bike power, or for buttons with witty slogans.

Join the social justice community as we come together to celebrate independence, interdependence and solidarity. More than that, come to promote and support grassroots change.

Together, we will create a real "Marketplace of Ideas" in Market Square (downtown) from 1:30-5 pm. Along with the most prominent social justice groups this side of the Ohio, we will reclaim Market Square as a public space for public debate while munching on delicacies provided by the East End Co-op.

Promote democracy! Remember, the health of the Market is
not always economic...

Sounds like fun! If this is successful, I encourage everyone to make sure these happen more than once a year ;)

Unfortunately, I won't be there, as I'm away for the summer.
