In taking POG's lead, here is a flyer to alert folks about the Aug. 24 Picnic against Poverty and anti-war, anti-imperialist rally and MARCH starting @ 1:00PM @ Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park
Bust out your wheatpaste - create other flyers. The time has come to once again take a stand and rise up against our current imperialistic leaders and their actions. Once again: form a small contingent and come up with a creative form of resistance. In Kent State they built a drum machine on wheels with a ton of pots and pans attached for people to bang on. For a recent demo in Philly, activists constructed a giant paper shredder in which they shredded the Patriot Act. Code Pink - "pink slip" is great. Jugglers, fire-eaters, STREET THEATRE, dddrrruuuuummmmmssss. banners. Spread the word - new, creative resistance. Aug 24 - UNITY.

Flyer looks great! I plan to start using it. My only comment is to note that one of the "c"s is missing in occupation, or is this meant to be a GWB spelling?

It's hard to throw together an anti-war rally flyer while your boss is not looking and sneak time on the office copier when you know half the office hates you for your views on the current administration, greed, imperialism, this bullshit war. I'll have a corrected version for you guys online tomorrow. I am also designing other flyers for A24. Please help out buy downloading them and posting them in coffee shops, on paperboxes, on telephone polls. in places where people think clearly and freely. Talk to people outside the city. I've got some friends coming in from Ohio. We'll be cooking some vegan food for the picnic. Start planning now.
