Budget Cuts Actions

There are massive budget cuts happening that affect our whole city, yet noone is planning anything to let Mayor Murphy know what we think of this injustice!!
Since Mayor Murphy announced his insane budget cuts that virtually close down most or all recreation centers and public pools, there has been widespread dissatisfaction with his measures, but no unified actions to express our anger. Everyone I have talked to is angry over this and cuts to many other social sectors such as policing and other areas. Therefore, I call upon the Thomas Merton Center, POG, and any concerned citizens to contact me at k_jae_91@yahoo.com if they would be interested in a demonstration against these budget cuts and to demand that these awful cuts be put to a stop NOW!!

Bush, (thanks Nader!) is starving out the states, and the governors are starving outh the ciities. They are all spending money to "protect" citizens from boogeymen. Budget issues will also be addressed August 24th.

I could not have said it better. Connect the dots between the Madness of King George and the rising problems in this city and cities across the US. Maybe try to incorporate some street theatre (bare miniumum signs to help us get this across to the citizens of the 412 on August 24. I was just trying to get this point across to a guy last night who was yelling @ me for putting up flyers. Get out in the street and talk to people

Five hundred million dollars!!!!! I wish my boss would STARVE my budget like that. The truth is contrary to your small minded hatred for Bush. And if any of you new Classicists who despise deficit spending whine about why Bush can run a deficit when CAL and PA cannot, here's the reason- the US Govt prints its own currency.
