Save Our Transit and others angry at the attack by the ruling class on public services to make their presence felt at a big shot party to celebrate the new $375 million convention center.

Come downtown on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003 at 6PM to the corner of Penn Ave. & 10th St. and lets send a message to the ruling class who are having a big party to celebrate their new $375 MILLION
D. L. LAWRENCE CONVENTION CENTER.
It only costs $500 to get in to this *POWER PLAY.
The guests of honor include such VISIONARIES as former Governors Tom Ridge, Mark Schweiker and our present Governor Ed Rendell. Also included in this list of visionaries are Mayor Tom Murphy, County Executive Jim Roddey and a host of the richest people in western PA.

LETS TELL PITTSBURGHS VISIONARIES THAT THEY NEED AN EYE EXAM!

Cant they see what is happening?
Public pools closed. Recreation centers closed. Senior centers closed. EMS and police funding cut. Public works funding cut. Public welfare funding cut. Rodent control ended. Public higher education funding cut. Public library funding cut. Drug and alcohol rehab funding cut. Public schools funding cut. Public transit funding cut. Funding for health care, job training and essential programs for the physically and mentally challenged is cut.
Our city and state are going to hell while these visionaries party down.

Want to send these big shots a message? Come to the D.L. Lawrence Convention Center, Penn Avenue at 10thStreet on Saturday, September 20 at 6PM. We will kick things off with a news conference and then greet the party going rulers of Pittsburgh with noise makers, costumes & posters. Lets have fun while letting these movers, shakers & rule makers know that we are mad. Lets demand from the old guard the new guard and the avant guard a city and state that WORKS FOR ALL OF US.
