WTO talkin' 'bout that
by wheatpaster Friday, Sep. 12, 2003 at 7:07 AM

The TRIPS agreement, which attempts to allow corporations to patent living beings as genetic resources is being discussed by the World Trade Organization right now. Bechtel could be working on new armor using spider/goats within the next two years right in West Mifflin... all because the decisions of the corporate-led WTO carries more weight than any democratically elected government. Amazing science fiction type stuff, but true.

Bechtel is known for biochemical engineering and military contracts. They have a plant located in West Mifflin and offices under construction on Liberty Ave. POG did an action and a informational handout on their evil ways:

Seems like that article on spider-goat bio-engineering included above goes right along with the kind of contracts they specialize in.
