Information on the awesome and amazing upcoming ruckus trainings!

Forward far and wide---
The Ruckus Society (http://ruckus.org/) is coming to town! After months of trying the Thomas Merton Center has succeeded in arranging for a 2 day activist training camp here in Pittsburgh. These are some of the best trainers in the country with countless years of experience. From the 1999 WTO meetings to the upcoming FTAA actions in Miami, Ruckus has been there to give people the tools to organize effective actions and campaigns. This is an amazing opportunity to build the local skill base and a heck of an opportunity for anyone interested in learning more advanced techniques.

It is dedicated to fostering leadership of those most affected by the injustice and oppression we struggle against, and aims to prioritize the voices and visions of youth, women, people of color, indigenous people and immigrants, poor and working class folks, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people, and other historically marginalized communities.
