Silent Skies...

Has anyone else noticed how silent the skies are lately? There is so little air traffic lately that I notice when an aircraft flies over. Very few jet contrails, either, often none at all.

I saw a plane fly really low right over my house last night. They usually don't fly over the house, so that was weird. But other than that, the sky seemed normal to me.

I live right under a flight path to the airport. Landing airplanes used to pass overhead at the rate of two or more per minute in the late afternoon and early evening. These days? Nearly nada.

You can't hear or see all of theair traffic because John Ashcroft has had all of our airliners fitted with alien cloaking devices to hide the movement of his secret operatives around the country. We had a protest the other day when he was in town. There must have been 3,000 protesters. You may not have seen us because we were all cloaked from site by the Justice Department and the CIA. What we really need is more information about what is really going on at Area 51.

I live in the south hills and see a lot of comm. airtrafic in the mornings. I'm not a conspiracy lover, but I do think there is something to the 'contrails' as I see grid patterns every morning and if you trace the contrails, you wull notice very tight turns, 45 to 65 degrees, far tighter than the commercial airline turns of between 15 and 30 degrees. This leads me to believe that these are in fact some type of military aircraft. I'm not so sure that 'they' are spraying us with some type of poison as others have theorized, but something is def. going on. People who say there is nothing to the contrails try to say that there are more airliners in the sky, but I can tell you that I have grown up around aviation (my dad is a private pilot and I was an aircraft geek as a kid) and this doesn't hold up post 9/11/2003 as I live under the approach for (not sure if it is the final approach path or not) for the airport and have seen a dramatic decrease in commercial airtraffic, yet I see more contrails in the sky then ever.

I remember that on March 20 (the day of the big anti-war protest downtown), my boyfriend was outside (in Bunola, PA -a hick town) and he saw this big light in the sky that turned at a right angle! He couldn't believe that it was a plane because of the weird angle. Then he turned on the radio and heard about the arrests and drove downtown to make sure I wasn't arrested.
And he forgot about it and told me much later.

Sorry to thow cold water on all this good ribbing of the whacked-out conspiracy theorists but the probable explanation is that past couple weeks have seen an unusual number of days with east winds, so the airliners have been approching for landings from the west. People in steubenville, east liverpool, wierton etc, have probably been commenting on the increase in airplanes overhead, and making up their own oninous "theories" (hypotheses being the more correct word)

This morning (Thursday) with the wind back from the southwest, the planes were lined up one behind the other making the final approach to the airport from over the east end (Bloomfield), even during the strong thundershower. I can't wait for a northeast wind so the sky will be quiet once more over my house.
The real conspiracy is that one being formented against us by U.S. Air. They are holding us hostage. They want us to pay them $500 million or they will abandon PHG as a hub. Screw them and the horse they rode into town on! I say no compromise with terrorists.
