Trails of the sky beings

So where did these trails come from? My suspicion is that they are from fightet jets or some sort. The trails seem to curve real hard in the sky. Can regular planes do that? Would the person who took these pictures please comment on what they actually saw. Was it a bald eagle or a harrier?

Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as 'kooks', 'right-wing', 'liberal', 'left-wing', 'terrorists', 'conspiracy buffs', 'radicals', 'militia', 'racists', 'religious fanatics', 'sexual deviates', and so forth. This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and you avoid dealing with issues.
Example: 'You believe what you read in the Spotlight? The Publisher, Willis DeCarto, is a well-known right-wing racist. I guess we know your politics -- does your Bible have a swastika on it? That certainly explains why you support this wild-eyed, right-wing conspiracy theory.'
Proper response: 'You are avoiding the issue with disinformation tactics. Your imply guilt by association and attack truth on the basis of the messenger. The Spotlight is well known Populist media source responsible for releasing facts and stories well before mainstream media will discuss the issues through their veil of silence. Willis DeCarto has successfully handled lawsuits regarding slanderous statements such as yours. Your undemonstrated charges against the messenger have nothing to do with the facts or the issues, and fly in the face of reason. Why do you refuse to address the issues by use of such disinformation tactics (rule 5 - sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule)?'

I work out-of-doors. The sun shone in a clear, brilliant blue sky all day. The few aircraft I observed all had "regular" contrails, that is to the eye the trails were an inch or two long and they followed the aircraft, dissipating completely.
At three o'clock, I noticed the first long trail. I began taking pictures when the patterns appeared. I'm sorry to have posted the series in the wrong sequence, but the titles tell the proper order.
The trails all widened to form a thin, milky "cloud" cover. By sunset, the sky cleared up again.
However, around 8 o'clock, I looked up to see a gigantic X overhead that was thinned out enough to see stars through it. Can't get a picture of that.
Today's pictures were spoiled by my digital camera's bad batteries.

Yes, I am a plant. I am a government agent here to spread disinformation about cont, er, chemtrails.
Actually I spent quite a bit of time reading through the various chemtrail websites and basically what it boils down to is it's just a National Inquirer crowd. Enjoy!

It might be noted that I draw no conclusions about these trails. All I present are my observations.
I do have questions, but without reasonable explanation from our government about the nature of these trails, citizens can only speculate.

The contrails are formed, as pointed out by a previous poster, by condensation in the exhaust of the jet engine. The formation is also dependant on the altitude of the jet, and the weather.
The reason the trails form patterns are due to FLIGHT PATHS.
Do you people think that planes fly haphazardly through the sky? Planes fly routes that are planned out so they do not hit each other, in defined directions, at defined altitudes.
You people are evidence that the US is waaaay behind in scientific education.

Deep thoughts.
The picture that you have used as a caption to the response to my previous post is a great capture of the flight approach to the west runway of Greater Pgh Airport. It is a common occurance for air traffic to line up for this approach to circle in this direction and bank around to line up with said runway. You can observe this in the opposite direction if you are travelling in your car coming from the airport towards PGH on the parkway. You can see the planes stacked up for miles in the air (with their lights on).
So your picuture, trying to poke fun at my statement of planes flying willynilly in the air, is actually showing a very planned out route where planes are executing specific turns for a good reason.
Also, when changing altitudes to come in for landings, the engines are moving through air layers and changing turbine speeds, all relating to how they are affecting the way the gasses are going to condense in the atmosphere.
Dumbass.
