Help ID cops.
by dfhfghgj Tuesday, Mar. 16, 2004 at 10:32 AM

Looking for information about the police pictured here.

Help ID cops....
cops_6.jpg35yzps.jpg, image/jpeg, 640x480

I was hoping people could post any pictures or information they have about especially abusive police. Some of us are interested in creating a database that can be used to try to improve accountability when the police get out of hand.

If you find out the names of any of the above drug-pushing, class enemies, you can search for their home addresses at the above link. It even includes pictures of their houses.

So are you..
by George K. Tuesday, Mar. 16, 2004 at 10:49 AM

So are you "peace-loving protestors" going to go to these police-officers houses now? How pathetically laughable you are. You are only setting yourself up for "extra-special" photo-sessions in the future if you think you can protest at their residences.
Again, why do you care so much about the undercover police? Are you doing something wrong? Will they catch you smokin a doob? Will this protest action hurt your political future as some grubby peace activist?
You people aren't going to do shit to the undercovers. To do so would bring them down on you a little harder than you have seen up to now.

Clearly off topic
by ... Tuesday, Mar. 16, 2004 at 10:52 AM

Georges comment is clearly off topic to the expressed point of this post. I hope it is deleted. As has already been said the point is that it is very difficult to hold the police publicly accountable if you have no idea who they are and they assault people. Why do the police care if people know who they are? Unless they are breaking the law and assaulting people why would anyone give them trouble?

Off Topic???

Now, if you seek to delete MY post, you would have to rebuke the person that wants to look for their places of living, with the implied intent of going to their houses.

As for accountablity, what are your pictures of undercover police doing to further the issue of accountability? Shouldnt you be trying to take pictures of civil rights infractions when they happen?

You are just trying to deflect the fact that that previous poster recommended "finding out where these cops live".

Yes, of course it is important that people take pictures of incidents when they happen, unfortunetly that isn't always possible (police target those with cameras, no one with a camera is around, the abuse takes place once in custody, pictures aren't clear enough for others to make an id, etc). Having a database with clear pictures and names of officers (especially those known to be involved in questionable incidents) makes it more likely that witnsesses can make an definite id after the fact or that other pictures can be matched to those on file. I don't think anybody is going to mess with someone cops house (as pointed out the cops can always harass you more then you can harass them), BUT it could be helpful in letting neighboores now that there is an abusive and violence prone individual close by.

march3-30_048_dce.jpg, image/jpeg, 337x253

Here's that guy up close and personal.

I took the picture because he was saying something like, "those fuckers are coming this way now, I'll be sure to take care of them," while I was standing right there with the camera. I figured he'd be trouble, didn't imagine at that point how much.

Good for the goose...
by rertyyrer Wednesday, Mar. 17, 2004 at 3:06 AM

At no point the the above post did I state or imply that anybody should go to the pens where the pigs keep themselves with tax dollars and drug profits. I'm not sure where you got that idea George, guilty conscience?
Like Megan's law, violent predators, such as these should have to notify their neighbors.

It's like the "why do you wear masks?" question. Why do you cover up your badge numbers?

Why do you need to see ID to determine where I live? We're just extending ourselves the same courtesy.
If you aren't a homicidal goon, you have nothing to be concerned with.

that would make sense
by ... Thursday, Mar. 18, 2004 at 7:59 AM

That would make sense, people were interested in who they were because of the 'very agressive' insistence that people not take any pictures of them. Always good to know who security people-police are. That's the thing with all of this picture posting, etc. These pictures are out there anyway, it's good to post ones of questionable police/security who may be prone to violence so that people can figure out who might be a problem in the future. While probably 99% of police/security people will use violence against you if ordered to by a superior (few are going to quit over that) there seems to be only a small percentage who will go out of there way to hurt and attack people- the ones who seem to get a kick out of it. It's those people that we need to all be able to recognize and be able to hold accountable through identification. That is the first step to ending police violence.

March 30th Guy
by Ex-Burgher Thursday, Mar. 18, 2004 at 9:33 AM

The March 30 cop doesn't look like he'd be too much trouble. Just carry around some pork rinds and cheesy poofs and offer to trade them for his pepper spray and penis extension (I mean night stick); I'm sure he'll be your best friend.

I am reasonably confident that you posted the bit about looking up the addresses of where these individuals live for the express reason of encouraging people to harass them. That is how people like you operate, which is somewhat similar to the very mode of the police you despise.
I can see you have a problem with "tax-money" for police? Well, you would likely be the first person whining if public money were not there for your own personal agenda. Just because you do not endorse the use of the tax money for the police, it becomes "criminal". How petty and humanly selfish of you (heh heh). Many of you have grandiose ideas of how you would like a society to "look", but hardly any of you have ever given thought to how you would actually set up a "realistic" and "workable" government. I would think that you would have a public protection unit, akin to "police". If you did not, how would you propose to fufill that need?
