"Davon Magwood, 18, a sophomore at Schenley High School, said he came because he felt the president's religious beliefs unfairly influenced his positions on public policy, especially gay rights."

____________

AN 18 YR. OLD SOPHMORE !!!! Wow, I guess those education cuts really hit home with this guy. At this rate he could be old enough to legally buy a beer when he goes to senior prom. That's a scream. These protests always seem to attract the "brightest" people !

Yes

it seems that a few idiots wanted to taunt the police and play protest games got the whole protest to pretty much grind to a lackluster halt. Score another one for the brilliant tactics of POG and the black bloc. Thanks alot kiddies.

good protester/bad protester games?
by mz chievous Tuesday, Apr. 20, 2004 at 12:38 PM

What's this "we almost rioted on the police" talk all about? From where i was standing, the police were provoking us, with violence both implied as well as real. Since when does a person's scholastic record validate or invalidate their opinion on Bush's homophobia, which, beyond any shadow of a doubt, is real?

Just as it is easier to believe what is force-fed to us by the mainstream media than it is to resist, it's easy to sit at home, typing over one's computer and play the curmudgeon. It's far more important to support a diversity of tactics. Let's not waste time playing good protester vs. bad protester, shall we?

What about the Romans?????

Black Bloc, the misled protestors,
had diversity of their tac-tics!
and if you ever saw them,
you would even say "those be slick!"
All of the other protestors,
use to laugh and call them names,
they never let the Black Bloc,
be diverse in their protest games!
Then one foggy Iraq-Attack eve,
Tim swVining came to sayyyyy,
Black Bloc with your solidarity tight!
Won't you join my arrest party tonight?
Then, Most of the protesters loved them,
They marched and shouted out with Glee!
We will sit outside of this Jail,
and wait for the Black Bloc to go Freeeeeee!

the funniest things I have ever seen posted here. __________________________
"Get your goddamn ass out of your ass and be more fucken open-minded."

Get your ass out of your ass? I am still laughing at that. Well honey, after a particularly rough weekend of Pitt Football Tailgaters, followed by Steelers Tailgaters, I think that my ass may very well have gotten out of my ass once. But believe you me, neither of us wants that again.

As for standing up for what I believe in...everyday sweetie, everyday. Just because standing up for what I believe in does not involve foolish crap like you people get involved with, or hanging on every word of your misdirected lost soul leaders like Tim SwVining, or getting arrested for sport and then complaining about getting arrested, and so on and so forth, that does not make my beliefs any more important or valid. Actually, I think it may make my beliefs more important and valid.

As for Dagwood Magpie, or whatever his name is .... dude, I think I am seeing the reason that you are an 18 year old sophomore. And you are letting these people take advantage of that situation.

Look, Mag, buddy, I have to break it to you. You really do not understand that first thing about the "Bush" situation or world affairs, or the reasons for this war. And that my remedially educated friend is why no one is paying any attention to you. You like the rest of these fools (yes, fools is an appropriate word) are being manipulated by a radical left in America and its bootlickers like Mr. Vining. (Oh, Thomas Merton must do pirouettes in his grave when he hears that name.)

So get back to the books and stay away from the protests. You need to graduate Magg pal. Because if you don't you can not blame George Bush. But you might be able to blame Tim Vining and his merry band of street players.

Trolling for hollers

As for standing up for what I believe in...everyday sweetie, everyday. I courageously post anonymously to message boards, and echo what O'Reilly and Hannity tell me. Just because standing up for what I believe in involves foolish crap like listening to talk radio and buying "Power of Pride" bumper stickers, and hanging on every word of your misdirected junkie, closet-case leaders like Rush Limbaugh, or worshipping the phallus of Bill Clinton and blaming it for everything that has happened since time began, especially the lies that started Bush's war and so on and so forth, that does not make my beliefs any more important or valid. Actually, I think it may make my beliefs more important and valid.
Look, buddy, I have to break it to you. You really do not understand that first thing about the "Bush" situation or world affairs, or the Halliburton, PNAC reasons for this war, which administration figures had been planning since 1996. And that my remedially educated friend (like my semi-literate hero, Bush) is why no one is paying any attention to you. You like the rest of these fools (yes, fools is an appropriate word) are being manipulated by a radical, fundementalist, corporate christian Taliban right in America and its bootlickers like 2beers and other obedient sheep.
I need get back to the books and stay away from the message boards. You need to graduate Magg pal, even if you are illiterate and your dad can't buy your diploma, don't you like the cocaine and alcohol damged George Bush. But you might be able to blame Bill Clinton's penis and his merry band of Republican followers.
