During the recent weeks and months a spirited debate developed in different German left wing newspapers and groups about the sense or non-sense, the perspectives and the means and goals of the mobilisation against the G8 summit. Different German and Austrian anti-fascist groups started a campaign to criticise a wrong analysis of capitalism widely spread in the anti-globalisation movement. In the context of this campaign several public discussions and lectures were held, a special webpage was set up but above all reader was published that contains a set of basic texts referring to this problem. This reader is available in German and English and will soon also be published in French in order to spread the debate also across other countries. Featuring a press conference given by TaraWatch, the video (see link below) gives details of the M3 Motorway, what lies in its path, what has been destroyed, and what is being now being threatened with destruction.
A massive prehistoric ‘henge’ site has been discovered in Lismullen, beside the Hill of Tara on the route of the planned M3 Motorway. The circular enclosure is the size of more than three football fields, and is without doubt a national monument because of the rarity of henges in Ireland, as well as its importance to the Hill of Tara archaeological complex.

Longshore Workers Honor Picket Line, Shut Down War Cargo Shipper in Oakland
The Internationalist
2007-05-20 11:15 PM![]()
This can be an important first step toward the mobilization of workers power to shut down the war machine, but that requires a sharp struggle against the bourgeois politics of the antiwar groups and union officialdom. The OEA calls for money for schools not for war, as if it were a matter of budget priorities, and the PAC poster made a social-patriotic pitch to “Bring the Troops Home Now, and give them the care they need.” Such “peace is patriotic” rhetoric is a staple of the UPFJ, but all the antiwar coalitions make similar appeals to garner support from Democratic Party liberals. Revolutionaries and class-conscious workers, in contrast, emphasize that this imperialist war must be opposed by class war. (image/jpeg)

This May Day 2007 supporters of immigrants' rights in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania demonstrated their genuine care for all immigrants communities in the nation. A vigil and march was organized by Pittsburgh Friends of Immigrants for the second time in honor of the families separated by raids, raids and deportations, and against anti-immigrant legislation. PFOI encourages citizens to introduce realistic immigration legislation that protects all immigrant workers and their families, such as: the Unity Blueprint and the Children Citizen Protection Act. How to get out of Iraq for just $450 million
ThinkPeace
2007-05-04 9:47 PM
If Nancy Pelosi and Congress really want the war to end and U.S. personnel to leave Iraq, it doesn't have to cost $100 billion or even $1 billion. For just $450 million, Congress could hire U.S. airlines to fly all U.S. troops (and contractors) home for good, in time to enjoy summer with their families.

STAND AGAINST HATE AND RACISM

COUNTER PROTEST AGAINST PRO HATE DEMONSTRATORS FOR ERNST ZÜNDEL MAY 7TH 07 AT 10:30 AM AT THE GERMAN EMBASSY 4645 RESERVOIR ROAD NW
Calling all people who oppose homophobia, xenophobia, racism and all forms of hate to come and stand against people looking to free the Holocaust denier/revisionist and Nazi sympathizer, Ernst Zündel who was jailed by Germany. Zündel has written such books as: “Did six million really die” and “The Hitler We Loved and Why”, he has also spoken at pro revisionist conferences and Neo Nazi events and has worked to ban the movie Schindlers List from being shown in Canada and elsewhere He has also gone to trial on fourteen counts of inciting racial hatred and as well for violating immigration rules in America and was also taken to court for being a threat to human rights in Canada because of his ties to the violent white supremicist/Neo Nazi organization Ayran Nations. We cannot allow his supporters to promote his hate speech and their own hate speech in D.C. or anywhere. Members of the racist group Stormfront and others will be coming to support the freeing of such a hateful man, it is because of this that we must take a stand against them and make sure they know D.C. is not tolerant of their hate, violence and lies against not only Jews but people of color and even other white folks of different religions and orientations.

A Month in the Life of Pittsburgh Organizing Group
Pittsburgh Organizing Group
2007-04-28 6:02 PM
Pittsburgh Organizing Group (POG) is a radical group based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania working to affect systemic progressive change in society. We seek to understand and oppose the inter-connected forms of oppression while utilizing non-hierarchical, consensus-based organizing. As a fairly large and active group we often do an inadequate job at conveying to other groups and interested people what our work looks like. We thought an article detailing what's been happening in the past month might be of interest rather than a single report on one of our events. (text/html)

Call for Submissions: Zine on Property Destruction
Casey Ford
2007-04-28 8:32 AM
Entering the radical community, many quickly find themselves constantly hearing about debate over property destruction. Is it violence? Does it matter if it's violence? Is it effective? Is it alienating? And on and on. I've been hearing this argument pretty much since I regularly started attending protests. At this point, I almost don't want to deal with the subject. Naturally, you're asking, "Then why the hell do you want to make a zine about it?" (text/plain)
