For Pittsburgh Indymedia
An estimated 200 city workers that are going to be layed off are protesting on Grant street in front of the City County building, some walking back and forth across the road blocking traffic.
This is a continuation of protests against mayor Murphy for his ignoring the needs of the city by laying off workers and cutting transit while still finding money for construction projects and a party for the rich at the convention center.
There are no reports of police present or any attempt of stopping the protests, most likely because the police are also struggling with Murphy's layoffs, losing 100 officers recently.
...will be updated if anything changes.
