ACORN will be holding a press conference and rally to stand against the skyrocketing foreclosures in Allegheny County.

Save Our Homes Rally
In Front of the Allegheny County Courthouse
Grant Street, Pittsburgh

April 5, 2004
8:30 AM-10:00 AM
RSVP 412 441-6551
We need to count you, so please call!

ACORN will be holding a press conference and rally to stand against
the skyrocketing foreclosures in Allegheny County. Our communities
are at risk! We are calling for a Moratorium on Foreclosures until we
can figure out how to Help Save People's Homes! 4000 foreclosures
were filed in Allegheny County in 2003....6,000-8,000 are predicted.

Low income, African American, and elderly people are most often the
targets of predatory lending.

Sub-prime lenders are the leading foreclosers in our neighborhoods.

Profiting from this loss of homes will be the slumlords who break
houses up into apartments and turn our neighborhoods from nice places
where everyone owns their homes to streets full of unkept, crime-
ridden housing units in disrepair.

After the Rally, we will stand in solidarity with our neighbors at
the Sheriff's Sale, and we will plead for more time to help them.

This is everyone's problem-please call ACORN to see how you can help.
We plan on having 100 people at the rally, so call today! 412 441-6551

Dear Sir,

I ask You and All Pennsylvanians to endorse, support and promote “THE STOP Program.”

The “STOP" Proposal will ABOLISH THE PROPERTY TAXES ON FAMILY HOMES IN PENNSYLVANIA, but will exclude Business and Rental Property Taxes ( support Senator Logan’s Senate Bill 717 and 718 and H.B. 1572 and 1573 ).

The ADVANTAGES OF ABOLISHMENT OF THE PROPERTY TAXES:

-It will solve most of the Cities of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia’s Fiscal Problems!!!!

-It will GROW the State of Pennsylvania!

-It will INCREASE JOBS-JOBS-JOBS- especially in Construction, Real Estate, Law, Plumbing, Electrical Workers and Construction sales…

-It will STOP or slow the OUT-MIGRATION of Pennsylvanians from our State!

-It encourages our YOUNG PEOPLE to stay, live and work in Pennsylvania!

- It will STOP the lose of one's home if one is on a fixed Income----especially VETERANS, ELDERLY and HANDICAPPED PEOPLE and Low Income People!

-It will encourage the IN-MIGRATION OF PEOPLE FROM BORDER STATES to Pennsylvania, i.e. New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Maryland and West Virginia!

-It Encourages more HOMEBUYING in Pennsylvania!

-Encourages HOME RENOVATION, EXPANSION, ADDITIONS and GROUNDS IMPROVEMENT!

-It encourages more Home Buying of bigger and better homes with the money saved from the Property Taxes.

-Encourages active participation in Community affairs by Home Buying!

-It will be a Dynamic Step toward increasing Pennsylvania’s Wealth and its Common Good!

-It encourages more Home Buying in Pennsylvania.

-It will STOP the erosion of our Tax Base!

-It will be a Dynamic Step toward increasing Pennsylvania’s Wealth and its Common Good!

-No Real Estate Property Tax encourages more Home Buying of larger homes with the money saved from no Property Tax.

-No Property Tax encourages younger people to stay and to buy homes in Pennsylvania.

-No Property Tax encourages retired people to consider staying in Pennsylvania and keeping THEIR WEALTH HERE, instead of moving to other states and taking their wealth with them.

-No Property Tax encourages people from outside of Pennsylvania, especially the border states, to consider moving to Pennsylvania.

-No Property Tax will be a Dynamic Step toward increasing
Pennsylvania’s Wealth and its Common Good!

Sincerely,

Steve Pietzak

Bob Logue, on KDKA Radio, One Gateway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 (412-333-9393), is issuing a form sheet to Repeal the State’s Real Estate/ Property Taxes, because the taxes are unfair to all Pennsylvania people.

Please co-sponsor or support Senator Logan’s Senate Bill 717 and 718 and H.B. 1572 and 1573--to ABOLISH THE RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TAX--- which is based on The “STOP Program” of Bob Logue, to ABOLISH the RESIDENTIAL Real Estate Property Tax.

STOP=This will be a Dynamic Step toward increasing Pennsylvania’s Wealth and its Common Good!
