Fallujah victims first called contractors, now as evidence comes out they were actually mercenaries, they're being called "security contractors"
The main stream media, first called the four "civilians" that were killed, burned, and dragged through the streets of Fallujah, Iraq, contractors. The reality is that they were employees of Blackwater Security Consulting, a rural North Carolina subsidiary of Blackwater USA. A commercial company doing the job of soldier in Iraq.
These mercenaries are often former U.S. military special ops people.
Since the "coalition forces" are in charge of the security of the area, why are we paying for mercenaries in the area at higher costs than our armed forces, and who are not accountable to the mission at hand, rather by private firms?
Private US security forces have also been recently used in Haiti.
Blackwater USA’s other subsidiaries are Blackwater Training Center, Blackwater Target Systems, Blackwater Canine, and Blackwater Air. The company proclaims: "We have established a global presence and provide training and tactical solutions for the 21st century," adding, "Our clients include federal law enforcement agencies, the Department of Defense, Department of State, and Department of Transportation, local and state entities from around the country, multinational corporations and friendly nations from all over the globe."

Mortar-fire for mercenaries

For a good week, the news media continued to insist that those punks were "civilian contractors" even though eyewitnesses report that said "contractors" were wearing Kevlar vests and packing automatic weapons. Finally, NBC finally broke down a week later and started calling them "civilian SECURITY contractors", which is about as good as it gets for NBC. I suppose they were "contractors" in the sense that they had a contract with the US Regime, and were paid large amounts of money, but let's face it -- they were mercenaries, guys whose job it is to kill and be killed for whoever gives them the best deal.

Four More Years ???

Wild Goose you are a complete idiot. Sorry, but you must be to suggest that the murderers in Fallujah would be chanting "Four More Years" as some support of President Bush's reelection. The reason that they are on such a murderous rampage, and the reason so many Arab mercenaries are flowing into the region, is to disrupt the election in the U.S. If anything, these Islamist and terrorists want Bush to lose the election to Mr. Kerry, whom they have heard tell of his resolve to commence a withdrawal of U.S. troops and a more accomodating foreign policy with respect to the despotic Islamist forces. They are emboldened by their success at interfering wiht the Spanish elections and are determined to likewise influence the U.S. election.
Yes, they want a Kerry win. A Bush win spells nothing but trouble for these terrorists. So your caption does nothing but expose your ignorance of the circumstance. Well, I guess it also shows our disregard for the lives of those on the other side (other side of you, and that would be the U.S. forces and civilians who support a free Iraq and are trying to give the Iraqis something that they have never known .. freedom and democracy and self determination).

Don't you think the Iraqis have had their fill of mock elections? Why then would they care about one in the US? Do you think the Iraqi people are foolish enough to believe that US bosses like Bush & Kerry will be democratically elected? An elected Iraqi government would look no more Shia' than under Hussein.

Wild_goose,
You are really an idiot, as 2_beers stated. The caption with "Four more Years" and the dead bodies seems to endorse the notion of the arabs WANTING the US fighting them in the terror war, which is NOT what they want. The anti-US elements want Kerry to be elected, so the US turns tail like a French regement and leaves.
If you are attempting to imply that four more years of fighting the war against a threat against the US will cost the lives of soldiers and security-forces, then the editorial cartoon is correct, but that is a fact of life. The result of the four deaths, though, is the levelling of a goddamn city, and the deaths of hundreds of natives. FUCK THEM! FOUR MORE YEARS OF HAVING THEIR MOSQUES LEVELLED! How about that?
When the terrorist breeding grounds are eliminated, and ALL of the Raceal Corrie's of the world are FLATTENED, maybe then we can rest easy.
